Mounting Cage Cabinet
STEP 4: Cage - Cage Cabinet
Tools Needed:
Two 24mm wrenches.
Step 4.1 - Mounting the Cage Cabinet
Because of weight we recommend being two persons to carry the Cage Cabinet to the cage
Position it like shown in the picture, it will rest its weight on the handrail
Now hold it to make sure it doesnt tip while attaching the bolts to the U-brackets
Make sure the cabinet is firmly attached
Step 4.1.1 Option: Mounting the Cage Cabinet on ScaleAQ Universal bracket
By default CageEye will provide the cage cabinet on a complete universal bracket, including all parts, unless otherwise agreed.
1. Preparation
Ensure three persons are available to lift the cage cabinet safely — the AQ brackets significantly increase the weight.
Confirm the mounting location is clear and accessible.
2. Positioning the Cabinet
Carefully lift the cabinet over the handrail platform.
Align the inner bracket beam of the cabinet with the outer receiving bracket already clamped to the handrail.
3. Mounting Procedure
Lower the cabinet slowly, guiding the inner bracket beam into the outer handrail bracket (as seen in photo 2).
Align the pre-drilled holes on both bracket sections.
Insert a 24 mm bolt through each aligned hole.
On the opposite side, attach a washer followed by a nut.
Tighten securely using two 24 mm wrenches — one to hold the bolt head, the other to turn the nut.
Step 4.2 - General cable management
To avoid breakage of the connectors during operation, we use a cable clamp that has been tested to withstand a pulling force of 80 kg. With a force bigger than this- the cable will slip, and it is therefore important to have some slack on the inside of the cabinet (slack between the cable clamp and the connector of the cables).
Step 4.3 - Power Cable
Connect the 230VAC connector to port 5 inside the Cage Cabinet
Connect the other end to Power-Supply-Cabinet
Use the quick-straps to attach the cable to the handrail. We recommend to use atleast one strap per vertical post.
