Planning placement of equipment in/on cage

15.4 Analyzing Sensor Placement Clear of Equipment-20250306-102219.jpg

Step 3.1 – Cage Availability & Power Supply

Potential Conflicts with Existing Equipment

Before installation, check if there is already equipment in the cage that could interfere with our setup.

For example, if a camera system is already in place, we recommend mounting our Duo Sensors in parallel to avoid conflicts. This may also influence the ideal placement of the Cage Cabinet.

Other equipment to consider:

  • Feeding pipes

  • Lights

  • Cleaning fish hide areas

  • Lift-up systems

  • Other sensors or instrumentation

Environmental Factors

  • Strong currents can affect positioning and stability. Take this into account when planning the layout.

Availability on the Cage Structure

Make sure there is available space on the vertical posts. These are often already in use for:

  • Cameras

  • Power cabinets

  • Other sensors

  • Net supports

  • Bird netting

  • Dead fish collection tanks

Ensure each cage has sufficient mounting space for our equipment.

3.2 Power Supply to the Cage Cabinet

Our standard power cable length is 25 meters.
Check the distance to the customer's power supply cabinet on each cage. Confirm that 25 meters (in either direction) is enough to reach your intended Cage Cabinet location.
